Bev's Country Diner in Nova Scotia

"Great diner on the side of the road in Upper Stewiacke. As I was passing through to the North Shore. I could smell the bacon and eggs from the road! It was calling for me"

"Fantastic diner style food. Fish and chips is always lightly battered and cooked perfectly, they also have a fantastic provider for their breakfast meats. Some of the best breakfast ham/sausage I've had. Anyone who writes poor reviews based on "slow/poor service" has clearly never worked in a restaurant let alone a two-person (one cook one server) setup. It presents a lot of challenges to have that kind of operation. The food is great, the service is fast and polite even when it's busy and would feel overwhelming."

"My husband and I travel across Nova Scotia specifically to try big breakfasts. The mega breakfast at Bev's Diner was the best breakfast I've ever had, the bacon and ham were perfectly cooked and the sausage was amazing and cooked all the way through (a few places don't cook sausage properly). The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was like being in an rustic log cabin, perfect for such an amazing home cooked breakfast! We will definitely be visiting again!"

"Food was absolutely perfect , but what really caught my attention was the level of cleanliness. Most restaurant's have a fairly noticeable coating of dust on light fixtures and wall hangings. This was most certianly not the case here. Every single place I looked , there was nothing but spotless. Best eating experience in a long time by far."

"We ordered breakfast at around 11:30 no problem. Very tasty sausages, bacon, eggs, and ham also good. My wife asked me to include special mention of the cleanliness of the ladies' washroom. While I didn't experience it for myself she tells me it was spotless. And I believe her. So there's that. My only recollection of the gentleman's washroom was that there was a sign asking me not to flush my sanitary towel. As if I would!"

"The food and service was good. It's a tiny little spot, and super quiet (no customers were talking - apparently because they were to busy eating yummy food). The food was also reasonably priced. I would definitely go back if I'm ever in the neighbourhood."
